DESCRIPTION:
This tour is Adults Only for multiple reasons! In this 3 hour tour, we will be discussing the seedier side of Calgary's history, and then venturing into some of those exact watering holes for a beverage! Along the tour we will discuss Calgary's 2 Prohibitions, corruption stories that even Hollywood couldn't make up, and the people who truly made Calgary live up to the "wild west" moniker. Sometimes inside the very establishments they operated out of.
Please Note: Alcohol is not included, nor required as part of the tour. In each of the bars, drink specials will be available to the group and we will have time for 1 drink. Water will be available to all guests at each stop.

DON'T FORGET:
This tour begins at HI Hostel, our hotel partner, not at Calgary Tower.
We will cover 6kms on this walk, so wear comfortable shoes! Dress appropriately for the weather. Bring an umbrella if necessary, water, and a snack. The tour is at night, and depending on the time of year can be in pure darkness, please wear appropriate clothing.
Each tour is comprised of different people, as such we cannot guarantee the length of the tour. Some groups ask more questions, some groups walk at slower paces, and some groups take longer at break to return. Therefore, some tours go longer than 3 hours, and some are shorter.
Reservations are not necessary. Walk-ups are welcome. However, our guides are busy and we do not want to waste their time, so tours do require 2 reservations 12 hours prior to the start time of the tour for the tour to commence. We recommend strongly that you make a reservation. Reservations also allow us to put on more guides if the demand requires it so we can keep tour group sizes smaller.
