COVID-19 UPDATE

On behalf of the entire Walk The Tours team, I regret to inform you that all tours will be cancelled for the foreseeable future. Our guides' and guests' health and safety is our primary concern during the pandemic. In the meantime, any visitors who need assistance or recommendations, please do not hesitate to contact us via WhatsApp at 416 697 7654, email or any social media.

If you have symptoms of COVID-19 during your stay in Calgary, DO NOT go to an emergency room or call 911 unless it is an emergency. Call Alberta Health Services, at 811, and they will do a phone diagnosis, and then send someone if needed to your hotel, Airbnb, etc. If you do not have health insurance, do not worry, they will help you. 

 

We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. Please understand we do not make this decision lightly as our guides depend on the tips received from happy guests as their primary income. Unfortunately, due to the nature of our business, we cater to guests from around the world, and cannot risk the heath of our guides, their families, and other guests. We have informed everyone personally who has booked a tour in the month of March. We will reevaluate April and beyond in the coming days. If you have any questions about our decision, or did not receive an email cancelling your tour, you can contact me personally, and we hope to walk with you in the future.

This is easily the tastiest tour we offer! Alberta beef combined with delicious beer, what more could you ask for? How about a personable guide full of fun facts, who will ensure you have a great time and get home safe.

We will go to at least 4 breweries and a BBQ brewery, which will be unique to your group's tastes. That's right! No prepackaged tours here. We discuss your style and tastes and sort out a route that is unique to your group. At each brewery you will sample a flight of beer, and at the BBQ brewery, we will sample a selection of their meats!

Take a 3 hour trip around downtown Calgary in the world's largest pedestrian walkway of its kind! Beginning at the Calgary Tower, we will venture through a selection of the 18km and 63 bridges. See the city like a local and hear incredible stories about the city's history. We will discuss a man who went from near death in WWI to one of the richest men in the world. We will see a full size plane hanging inside a building. Finally we will end in the world's largest indoor botanical garden. No need to worry about the weather on this one as its 90% indoors!

Get ready to be ushered back in time on this 2 hour tour. In 2002, Stephen Avenue was declared a National Historic Site and we will use it as our stage as we recreate stories from the first 60 years of the city. Hear about a city Councillor who owned a bar during Prohibition. Learn about a Premier who created his own money! We'll discuss the controversial story of the 5 suffragettes, and then wrap up the 2 hour story with Alberta's Greatest Citizen!

 

Finally, if you're looking for food and drink recommendations, this is definitely the tour for you! We'll get you done in time for Happy Hour!
